Dec. 1963

Technical tie-up between Sumitomo Light Metal Industries Ltd. and Pullman Co.(USA) to manufacture trailers and containers was established.

Aug. 1964



NIPPON TRAILMOBILE CO.,LTD. (now NIPPON TREX CO., LTD.) was established, capital of 100,000,000 JPY.

Jun. 1965



Displayed a van truck at the 6th Tokyo International Exhibition.

Oct. 1965


Established Toyohashi Plant and started manufacturing freight containers and trailers. Increased capital to 200,000,000JPY.

Oct. 1966



Manufactured the first "Made in Japan" aluminum dry container.

Aug. 1969



Manufactured the first tank trailer.

Mar. 1972



Established technical tie-up between Eaton Yale Co., Ltd. (USA) to manufacture axles.

Apr. 1992



Increased capital to 2,011,000,000 JPY. Established Otowa Plant which manufactures gull-wing bodies.

Jul. 1996



Changed the company name to NIPPON TREX CO.,LTD.

Mar. 2000



Obtained ISO9001 Quality Management System.

Nov. 2005



Obtained ISO 14001 Environmental Management System

Nov. 2007



All stocks that NIPPON TREX CO., LTD. issued and Sumitomo Light Metal Industries Ltd. owned were acquired by KYOKUTO KAIHATSU KOGYO CO., LTD.

Apr. 2014



Established a manufacturing and sales base in Thailand.
